The Gift of Small Steps

The journey through depression often feels like trying to climb a mountain with weights on your ankles. The summit seems impossible, and sometimes even the smallest steps forward feel overwhelming.

Moses faced an overwhelming task too - leading an entire nation to freedom. But God didn't ask him to do it all at once. Instead, He said, "What is that in your hand?" (Exodus 4:2). Just a staff - a simple shepherd's tool. Yet God used that one small thing to begin a mighty work.

God often works through small steps: one honest conversation, one moment of prayer, one reach for help. These aren't insignificant - they're sacred steps of trust and courage.

You don't need to conquer the mountain today. Just take the next right step, however small it might seem.
